Are you a Master-Level Social Work student looking to start internship hours in Texas?

Dayana Zamora is a board certified LCSW-Supervisor in Texas and she has been a Field Instructor and a Faculty Liaison for master-level students. 

​

Three options: 

1.  If you already have an agency and there's no social worker available, Dayana can be your  external Field Instructor (external supervision). ​

2. Alternatively, you can complete your required internship hours with the Cameron County Mental Health Task Force, a nonprofit organization, where you will facilitate virtual psychoeducation groups across Texas.

3. If you are needing a site to complete your hours and you are bilingual (English and Spanish), thru Vita Therapy, Dayana offers 2 virtual internship for social work students across Texas.

 

At Vita, social work interns provide psychoeducation and therapy sessions to individuals, groups, couples, and families. Ages vary from youth to adults.  Concentration is the application of counseling services utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Interns also participate in community events and presentations raising awareness regarding mental health services.

Required Skills:

• Ability to work independently

• Willingness to learn computer applications necessary for work functions including social media

• Ability to adapt to changing situations and various personalities with a positive attitude

• Strong networking and professional relationship-building skills

• Ability to complete required trainings in a timely manner
